Engaging with communities
We’re committed to working with communities as our proposals for the reservoir develop and have made sure local people have had the opportunity to have a say since an early stage in the project. In November 2023 we launched a new Community Liaison Group (CLG) to help us do this.
The invitation-only group includes representatives from a cross-section of the community. The project team will meet with the group regularly to share updates on our plans and discuss any potential impacts and opportunities. It will make sure we can continue to gain valuable local insight from community representatives.
The CLG includes parish council representatives, local conservation and environment groups, local community groups, recreation groups and organisations representing those who are often seldom heard. Elected representatives of the wards directly affected by our proposals are also invited.
We hope this group will help us to keep communities informed and involved for the duration of the Fens reservoir project.
CLG meetings are not public meetings, but we are able to extend invites to other relevant organisations, subject to the agreement of our existing group members.
We will be keeping this page updated with the CLG’s activity and will also ensure key updates are included in our quarterly e-newsletter. If you’d like to register for our e-newsletter, you can do so here.
